Happy Birthday to Keston!

For Keston's birthday he wanted a husky puppy, a laptop, and an Xbox.  Not much to work with . . . until I found a stuffed husky puppy.  However, I don't think he is amused.

We are having dinner at 5 Guys Burger and Fries . . . who can have a bad birthday when you are at 5 Guys.

The Hunger Games trilogy . . . I hope he shares.

Keston's friend S joined us for the evening.

Love the mini figs . . . I especially love the kilt on the bagpiper sorry you can't see it.

After dinner we went to see Men in Black 3.  We had a great night and I think by the grunts, Keston enjoyed his day.  He is picking up his communication skills from Grandpa.

After the movie we came back to the house to have cake.  Blowing out the candles on his ice cream cake . . .

Love that smile - who doesn't love black frosting?  Happy Birthday to our favorite red head!

Tylissa's Last Orchestra Concert

Tylissa decided not to continue with orchestra for her senior year.  She will continue to take lessons for her violin.  So this is her last orchestra concert.  She is located on the back row in the middle.  If you look between the two basses on the left you will find her.

In the three years that Tylissa was in orchestra this is the only picture I have of her in the uniform, costume, outfit . . .

Keston's new love . . .

Keston has a new girlfriend, she is now 6 months old.  This was a couple of months ago during stake conference.  Little A is such a happy baby and Keston is enamored with her and steals her all the time during church.  He feeds her and puts her to sleep.  He is so cute with her.  This is the same little girl that Chad was holding a couple of posts back.  We sure do love this family!

Chad and Track

I am a lot behind in my blogging but it is never too late.  Chad participated in a community track club.  Here he is doing the long jump.  They were not to strict about the take off.  He also did triple jump and the 100 meter.  He really wanted to do the hurdles but his coach missed it so he will have to wait until next year.

Lizard sitting

Meet Spike - we got to lizard sit for just over a week and Chad had a great time with him.  We found out that he likes shiny things spinning, he does not like Lego minifigs (he rammed the glass and if you look closely you can see he face print), he loves it when we feed him his lettuce, and he kept Chad amused.

Maggie was not sure of our visitor.  To begin with we had the cage just sitting on the floor and it took a couple of days for her to figure out there was something in there but once she did he drove her crazy.  Spike was a tease, he would sit still and then out of the blue dash across his cage and I think he did it just to drive Maggie nuts - and it worked.  She would try to see him then jump on the couch and jump down.  It was amusing.

This is Chad feeding Spike his lettuce.  He was trying to get him to jump up to get it.

We sure had fun with him and it gave the kids a lizard fix without having to buy one.

Another cold day at the track

Track and Field can be very exciting but not when it is freezing outside.  Everyone was saying we were very lucky it wasn't snowing . . . not just raining but snowing.  We are very lucky that we live two blocks from the track and I could come and go.  Everyone who was watching had on big parkas, hats, gloves, scarves . . . you would have thought we were watching the winter olympics instead of track and field in May.  Oh well - all I can say is thank heavens for hidden wheat bags in my coat otherwise I would have been really cranky.

Keston did okay, He got 5th in Triple and 6th in Long Jump.  It was so cold he could not get warm enough to relax so his jumps are not close to his personal bests but he was still okay with the way he did.  One more meet on Friday and then he is done for the year.

Chad has his first meet on Tuesday, we'll see how he does.  Stay warm everyone and whoever is hogging all the sun and warm - stop it and send it north . . . PLEASE!  What is really ironic is my class right now is on global warming and the environment.  It is hard to believe there is global warming when you are sitting outside in the cold in May.

Great Track Results

Look at the standings from Tuesday's Cross-Town Track Meet.  The top three are varsity and the bottom three are JV.  Not bad for the freshman kid - 2nd in JV.  He was very excited and again it is his personal best.  He had another meet today but didn't do as well length wise because of the rain and the cold.  Gotta love Montana in the spring.  Saturday's meet will be really fun it is only Freshman but it is supposed to be cold and rainy again.  We'll see how it goes.  Stay tuned.
