Run - Run - Run

The team and Chad had the game of season yesterday - they blocked great, the offense was on the field most of the game - Chad made a great touchdown - FINALLY! He had a great interception and was so close for the pick six and he is getting so close on those PAT kicks. The weather was great - I got a sunburn in October in Montana.

Chad only has one more game then it is over for another year.

Hi Remember Me?

Has it really been 4 months since you've heard from me. Here is a recap of summer.

Keston had a birthday - the official teenager one and he did track this year. His favorite events were triple and long jump. Sorry the video of the triple jump isn't working.

Throw in Wasa (yes like a dork I forgot the camera and Ken copied everything for me but do you think I remember where the disk is at this moment - nope so look on everyone else's blog to see pictures of Wasa). There was a quick trip to Rexburg. And you've got summer.

Chad got to go to Granny's not once but twice - for a week in June and a week in July all by himself. He was getting a little tired of Kayden always ditching him.

Keston went to Scout Camp on Melita Island twice this summer - once with his troop and once as a SIT (staff in training). Next year he will get paid to play (like father like son).

Three boys originally went but one got injured so then there were two.

Can you tell by this face - did he like it or not?

The summer ended with visits from Rob and Becky with the annual trip to the water slides. Rob and Becky left in the morning and Ken and Tracy arrived that evening. It was a crazy week with the fair but everyone was patient with me.

We just bought the tickets for our vacation - yippee - we are actually going! Four months and counting!

Happy Mother's Day

This is in honor of my mom and to say I am so sorry for being the obnoxious brat and yes I am getting your eternal payback because I have a daughter mostly like me. Well the mood and the attitude seem very familiar. So my only hope is that Tylissa has twins just like her and in 20 years she will be documenting her apologies. Well one can only hope.

Thanks for putting up with me mom and the others - in all fairness and in my defense - they were brattier than I was. Is that even a word?

Wowie Wow Wow

This past month Tylissa has been overwhelmed with music. She had three weekends of music. The first was a master class with her music teacher where all the students performing in the music festival performed for each other. Then the opportunity to perform in the District Music Festival in Whitefish. After listening to the judges comments, I thought he was harsh but Tylissa must has done something right because she was given a Superior rating which qualified her for the State festival. ENTER WRENCH! Someone always has to throw a wrench in the plans . . . of course state was the same weekend as Time Out For Women. So with all the stresses of being a mother and trying to get everyone where they needed to go and when and surviving last minute snow storms that changed plans everyone got where they needed to go. Val and Tylissa made it to Helena for the State Festival and she said she did worse on her piece but it gave her the practice and a great opportunity. She still came home with an Excellent rating. I say - not bad for a Freshman. I am so proud of her and all her hard work!

Keston made it to his track meet and friends dropped him off at home. He is doing great by the way. He competes in long jump, triple jump, discus, and tried the 400m once.

I made it to the Time Out For Women in Spokane, Tylissa made it to her stake dance Friday night, Val took Chad to work with him. It all works out but I think I get an ulcer trying to get everyone where they need to go and when.

The stake primary did ask Tylissa to play in Stake Conference with the primary choir that weekend but she was so overwhelmed with everything else she said no - oh well - not everything works out.

AND - this is big - you may need to brace yourself - Chad got an A- on his book report. Now for some you might think - big whoop. But this is Chad, who hates to read and doesn't do all that great in school (yes, unfortunately we have the report cards for documentation). But he read a book (#1) and he did amazing on his first book report. I'm so tickled pink.
