The Priesthood a day to remember

Chad received the priesthood on January 1, 2012. It is kind of cool to be 12 in 2012. I don't think he will have problems remembering when it happened. Not only was it a crazy day but a great weekend.

I think our ward was trying to fit it every Priesthood ordinance in one day. A baby was blessed, someone was confirmed and received the Holy Ghost, Chad was presented to the congregation for the priesthood, and the big one - we got a new bishopric. It was 5 years to the day that the old bishopric was called on December 31, 2006 and on January 1, 2012 they called our new bishop.

Chad was not too thrilled to put his tie back on.

Gotta love these guys.

It was a crazy weekend. Chad's birthday was on Friday. On Saturday, Granny and Grandpa came and spent New Year's Eve with us. We have lots of yummy food, we played some great games, and had fun with the family. The highlight was playing hide and seek in the dark. Poor Austin got the skin scared off his hide more than once. We watched the ball drop, commented on the weird singers, and played one more round of hide and seek in the dark then headed to bed. It was the one and only time I am thankful that our new church time was 1:00 p.m. The holidays were sure full but we had a great time.
